Kim

Kim specialised in Musical Theatre and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. This provided Kim with opportunities to perform in venues such as, The West Yorkshire Playhouse, Hull Truck Theatre and the Leeds Grand. Kim continued her studies at Rose Bruford in London working with various artistic companies performing roles in musicals such as ‘Witches of Eastwick’, ‘Hair’ and ‘Hello, Dolly!’, as well as Pantomime roles to name a few. Kim teaches Performing Arts and has a wealth of experience with Trinity College and Royal College of Music in a vocal technique known as ‘Estill’.

Kim has sung with the Opera North Choir, performing at Leeds Town Hall for the Benjamin Britten Anniversary Concert. Involvement with the Opera North Choir has led Kim to take part in a community teaching project introducing the younger generation to Opera. Through travelling around various parts of the world for a year, Kim has been inspired by different cultures, which influences her unique style and craft. Kim continues to perform solo artist work at various private functions and wedding receptions with experienced musicians, but she is so delighted to now be a part of ‘The Hummingbirds’ close vocal harmony trio and is looking forward to the birds flying high.

Georgia

Georgia Jakubiak is a vocalist, teacher and composer. She graduated from Bretton Hall and soon after joined indie pop band ‘The Research’ on bass guitar and vocals. The Research were signed by EMI records and released two albums and several singles seeing the band touring the world, being played on TV and the radio.

Georgia currently works as the vocal tutor at Leeds Arts University on the Popular Music course where she also runs several choirs. Alongside her University work Georgia teaches in schools, leads children and adult choirs and runs song writing workshops as well as mentoring young musicians in bands.

Georgia works as a pro singer performing solo with the piano at weddings and functions as well as being part of ‘The Hummingbirds UK.’ She writes her own music and releases albums under the name ‘The State of Georgia’ often getting radio play on BBC Introducing. She has four albums released to date and plays gigs and festivals (including Long Division) with her 7-piece band. Performances to note include the Olympic Park in London for the para-athletic championships where Georgia entertained crowds solo in the lead up to the medal ceremonies and a festival in Barcelona and Manchester arena for the world Taekwondo championships.

Sarah

Sarah has been singing as a hobby for the past 25 years in various bands and with various musicians including funk and soul bands, a folk duo and gospel choirs. She really enjoys close harmonies and the sheer power of music, no matter what the occasion. She loves vintage fashion, often attending vintage fayres and events, so joining The Hummingbirds UK combined 2 of her greatest loves. She can't wait to continue to bring smiles to people’s faces and get toes tapping at our upcoming performances.
